Using Sanomono: terms

I keep things simple here, and the terms should be simple too. Read them once, then get back to finding good software.

1. Your account

You can browse the whole catalog without an account.

If you want to save favorites, get update notices, or leave a comment, you’ll need a free account. One account per person. Use a real email address — I won’t send you marketing mail, but I may need to reach you about your account.

Keep your password private. If someone else uses your account, that’s on you.

2. Changes to these terms

I revise the terms now and then. When I do, the updated version goes live on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

3. Third-party software and links

Sanomono links to programs made by other people. I don’t own them, repackage them, or offer support for them. All product names, icons, and trademarks belong to their owners.

When you download an app, your relationship is with that developer — not with me. If something doesn’t install, crashes, or acts oddly, contact the developer directly.

I link to official sources whenever I can. I can’t guarantee the safety of third-party download pages, but I take care about what I point to.

4. Comment rules

Comments make the catalog better for everyone. To keep them useful, I moderate every one before it appears. You’ll see your own comment marked “awaiting moderation” until I review it.

What doesn’t belong:

I don’t publish everything that comes in. If a comment crosses a clear line, I delete it without explanation.

5. Catalog information

I write notes from my own testing: version numbers, file sizes, compatibility, install quirks. I keep older builds listed for people on older Macs. But I’m one person testing on a limited set of machines.

The catalog is a guide, not a guarantee. A program that runs fine on my Mac might not run on yours. Check the developer’s system requirements before you download.

6. Copyright

The writing on Sanomono — descriptions, notes, guide pages — belongs to me and is protected by copyright. Don’t reproduce the catalog elsewhere without asking.

Screenshots and app icons remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Contact

Questions about these terms? Write to me at [email protected]. I read every message, though I can’t always reply the same day.
