Set the minimap to rotate. The static map fights your sense of direction. A rotating one keeps the next turn where your thumb expects it.
East gate takedown
Lincoln parks a block away. The target is a fenced compound with two lookouts. Rain slicks the asphalt. You pop the trunk, select the silenced pistol, crouch-walk to the east gate.
First guard: toss a distraction, then a clean neck snap. Second guard on the catwalk never sees you climb. You plant a tap on the junction box and slip out. The whole sequence takes four minutes. No alarms, no backup waves. Cassandra gets the district. You get a new car waiting at the safehouse.
Next mission, same district: a convoy. This time you take a grenade launcher from the trunk and blow the lead truck on the bridge. Messy, loud, over in ninety seconds. The game does not punish either approach.
Early days
Spend your first ten hours ignoring side activities. Follow the main thread until you unlock all three underbosses. The full toolkit makes every district takedown feel different.
Check the trunk often. Weapons you unlock appear there automatically. The menu never tells you.
Drive yourself between objectives for the first week. Fast travel skips the radio banter and overheard conversations that fill in why New Bordeaux is rotting.
