For the patient explorer. The kind of person who looks at a locked door and wonders not how to open it, but why it was built.
M4 mini
It wants macOS 14.5 or newer. Runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel. A 2024 Mac mini with M4 handles it without complaint.
Ghost companion
You carry a device called the Adjunct. Most interactions flow through it. A ghost accompanies you, silent but present.
Performance
Snappier menus
Version 2.1.3 arrived in May 2023 and refined the Adjunct’s responsiveness. Menus inside the device feel snappier. Switching between its modes no longer stalls.
Movement through doorways got smoother. Earlier builds had a slight hitch when crossing from one biome to another. That pause is gone now.
The ghost’s pathing improved. It no longer lingers in doorframes or blocks your view during puzzle resets. Small fixes, but they keep you inside the world instead of noticing the seams.
Instant resume
The game respects macOS full‑screen mode and spaces. Swipe back to a desktop with notes or a sketch app — the pause is instant, the resume immediate. No crash on waking from sleep.
It writes a compact save folder to ~/Library/Application Support. Back up that folder with your usual tool, and your progress moves cleanly to another Mac. No cloud sync, no account required.
M1 and M2 Macs run it quietly. On an Intel MacBook Pro, the fans spin up in the third world’s industrial halls. Headphones recommended there.
The DRM‑free build means you can keep the disk image on an external drive. A Firmament Mac torrent copy you archive yourself works the same way — portable, no launcher, no online check.
Three worlds, no loading screens between them. The frame rate stays steady if you keep the resolution sensible.
