28 languages, one physics model, and no third-person crutches. Firehawk FPV dropped on August 22, 2025, with a single demand: fly the drone yourself.

Joystick, console controller, or dedicated FPV radio — the game reads them all. Controls follow real quadcopter behavior. No stabilisation assists unless you earn them. You start with a bare frame and build your weapon loadouts from there. New drones unlock as you go. Advanced weapons need development time at a base you expand between runs.

A bad dive costs you. Momentum carries into turns. A tight gap is a tight gap. The Mac build runs on both Intel and Apple Silicon machines. Performance stays steady on mid-range hardware if you keep shadows reasonable.

Kinetic yolo loadout

You boot up and pick a light frame with a single rail mount. Loadout is a kinetic repeater and an unguided rocket pod — risky, fast. The industrial zone map loads. Your FPV feed fills the screen.

First pass, you skim a warehouse roof. Two bandit drones lift from behind a cooling tower. You bank hard, lose altitude briefly, then level out ten meters above a scrap yard. The repeater finds one rotor. The other drone jukes behind a crane. You switch to rockets, lead the gap, and fire blind. The crane disappears in smoke. No kill confirmation. You drift forward and spot wreckage near a conveyor belt.

Back at base, the salvage screen shows three new components. You slot a capacitor upgrade and queue research on emp-hardened wiring. The next run starts with a modest edge — slightly better energy recovery and a drone that now survives a near-miss emp burst. Repeat until the battery dies or you do.

Stall trap

Throttle management. The game models momentum, not a hover button. New pilots climb too hard, stall, and blame the drone. Practice low-altitude figure-eights around a stationary object for ten minutes. It helps.

Weapon mixing looks free-form but punishes lazy combos. A heavy missile rack on a light frame saps speed and makes turns sluggish. Match weapon mass to the airframe’s thrust rating. The pre-flight stats panel shows a handling penalty in orange — watch for it.

Base progression stalls when people ignore defensive systems. Raids happen. Turret coverage and early-warning sensors cost resources but prevent losing two missions of salvage. Even a single proximity mine launcher changes the odds.

FPV radio setup can fail silently. If the sticks register but the throttle channel is inverted, the drone arms at full power and flips on launch. Open the input config, check the channel monitor, and reverse the axis before you arm. Same fix applies to joysticks and console controllers.

Performance dips in military-zone fog. Drop shadow resolution to medium and disable volumetric effects. The visual difference is small; the frame-time gain is not.

Every sortie feeds the loop. Technology, skills, and power grow with each run. The next drone is always one mission away.
