Grenade bounce planners
Strategy fans who still miss the turn-based classics. The game asks for patience and a dark sense of humor. If you like planning a grenade bounce three turns ahead, this is yours. Multiplayer groups get the most out of it — local hot-seat games turn into long, loud evenings.
It also clicks with anyone tired of real-time pressure. Nothing moves until you act. You can walk away, pour a coffee, and return to a worm still waiting.
Skip intro, quick duel
You open the app on an Apple Silicon Mac. A brief Wineskin wrapper screen appears, then the title music kicks in. You skip the intro and land on the main menu.
You pick a quick duel. Random terrain loads — a rocky island under a pink sky. Your first worm lands near the edge. You tap through the weapon list, settle on the bazooka, and adjust the angle with two keys. The shell arcs high, corrects for wind, and drops a rival worm into the water. One turn, one kill.
The AI takes its revenge with a homing pigeon. Mines litter the field by turn four. By turn ten the map is a cratered mess and you win on a lucky prod. The whole match takes under fifteen minutes.
For something longer, you load a campaign mission. The objectives appear in clean text. No tutorials — just your worm, a rope, and a problem to solve.
On Apple Silicon it runs through Wineskin. Expect a steady framerate and responsive turn-based play. The interface is crisp at native resolution.
