Version 1.1.3 is out.
Travel
You guide a lone adventurer into Nova Drakonia, an unexplored frontier. You pick through crumbling ruins and dense forests, assembling a party as you go.
Talk
Your stat combinations open different dialogue paths. A high intellect might unravel a scholar's lie; brute strength can end a standoff without a blade.
Fight
A morning in Nova Drakonia
I start the game on a 2024 Mac mini. The launcher vanishes in under two seconds.
Loading a save places me at a fogged-in crossroads east of the first settlement. My party is three strong now — the ranger I recruited near the coast, a disgraced militia surgeon, and my own character built around Perception and Lore. I pan the camera with a light trackpad swipe. The UI is uncluttered; I have moved the combat log to the right edge and shrunk the action bar until only six slots show.
The crossroads quest sends me into a watchtower ruin. I click the door. A low hum of rain starts. Three mercenaries block the stairwell. I tap spacebar to freeze time, queue a bolt for the ranger, and switch the surgeon to a shield buff. Unpause. The bolt hits before the first mercenary reaches me. I pause again, reposition the ranger behind a collapsed pillar, and let the surgeon draw aggro. The fight ends cleanly. No reload.
Upstairs, a half-dead scout rasps something about a hidden shipment. My Lore stat opens a dialogue option the ranger cannot see. I choose it. The quest log updates with a different objective than the one my previous character received. I save and quit. Twenty minutes. Three encounters. One story fork I had not seen before.
Native ARM
On the M4, swordhaven iron conspiracy mac full version runs in native ARM mode without a hitch. I switch to real-time-with-pause during trash fights and the frame pacing stays even. No stutter when the rain intensifies or when spell effects overlap. Memory sits around 1.8 GB after an hour. The fan never spins up.
I did hit one freeze early on, during a dialogue transition in the marsh camp. Launching with Rosetta — a checkbox in the Finder info panel — resolved it. The patch notes for 1.1.3 mention stability fixes, and since applying them the freeze has not returned. Quick loads take about three seconds. Area transitions are nearly instant.
It feels predictably solid for a game still in active patching. Not console-polished, but never fragile. The kind of stability that fades into the background and lets you stay in Nova Drakonia.
Combat shifts between turn-based positioning and real-time-with-pause. You queue actions, re-target spells, and pause the chaos when a plan needs adjusting.
