You drop a clean bass line into your session and start pushing it through Nudistort. The signal buckles into something grainy and unpredictable—useful noise, not just grit.

DAW readiness

VST3, AU, and AAX formats cover every major DAW on macOS 10.13 or newer. Apple Silicon and Intel are both supported.

Character

The plugin pushes timbre toward the extreme. It works well for textured pads, fractured drums, and any source that benefits from expressive harshness.

Guidance

Nudistort sits closer to something like Decapitator or Trash 2 than to a gentle saturation tool. Decapitator adds weight and edge while keeping the source recognizable. Nudistort is less polite. It will tear a sound apart before you finish turning the drive knob. Trash 2 offers multiband control and a long chain of stages. Nudistort keeps the signal path simpler, which makes it faster to reach a broken, dense texture.

Against a waveshaper-only plugin, the difference is the harmonic content. Nudistort does not just fold the waveform. It thickens the midrange and pushes transients into a smear that still tracks the input. That makes it useful when a standard clipper sounds flat or a bitcrusher sounds too digital.

Gain safety

Turn the output down before you audition anything. The plugin can spike quickly.

Start with the drive low and the mix around fifty percent. That gives you a parallel path that keeps some of the original attack while the distorted layer fills in behind it. From there, move the drive in small steps.

If there is a tone or filter control, use it early. Nudistort generates a lot of high-frequency energy, and a small cut above 5 kHz can keep the result from turning brittle on laptop speakers.

Snare presence

Try it on a single drum bus before a full mix. A snare or clap run through Nudistort at moderate settings becomes sharper and more present without extra EQ. Push it harder and the tail breaks into a gritty wash that works under a breakdown or a transition.

Feed it a sub bass and listen for harmonic build-up in the low mids. A sine wave at 50 Hz can turn into a wall of energy above 200 Hz. That is often the point, but it will collide with vocals and keys. Use a high-pass filter after the plugin, not before, if you want to keep the fundamental clean.

Render a short loop through several settings and listen the next day. Nudistort changes perception quickly. What sounds exciting at midnight can sound like static in the morning. A few printed comparisons make the useful range clearer.

Nudistort rewards short sessions and deliberate moves. One instance on the right source does more than five instances scattered across a mix.

A manual is included for both macOS and Windows. Installation and activation details ship inside the package.
