If you already use a single FabFilter plug-in in your DAW, the Total Bundle is the rest of that toolkit. Same interface language, same install, more of the sound.

AU & VST

The bundle installs as standard macOS audio plug-ins. It works in any DAW that loads AU or VST formats.

What Macs run it?

Apple Silicon and Intel 64-bit Macs. macOS 10.13 or later.

Which plug-ins are included?

Professional EQ, reverb, compressor, multiband dynamics, limiter, de-esser, and gate/expander. That covers most of a mix or master chain.

What does it replace?

No hand-holding

iZotope's production bundles lean on assistive tech. They suggest EQ curves or compressor settings. FabFilter does none of that. You decide. That lack of hand-holding feels like a limitation at first. It becomes the main reason you stay.

Waves offers a vast catalog spread across dozens of individual plug-ins. The FabFilter bundle is smaller. Fourteen plug-ins. Each one goes deep. You are not scrolling past five different compressors. You learn one compressor and you use it everywhere.

Soundtoys is a different beast. Its effects have a signature grain and warmth. FabFilter is cleaner. More precise. The two can coexist, but for a transparent master bus, FabFilter is the tool that stays visible in the chain.

Dynamic hum trap

Dialog needs cleaning. A voiceover track arrives with a faint hum and some uneven sibilance.

The editor opens Pro-Q 4. A dynamic band catches the hum only when it rises above the voice. No static cut. No thinning of the recording. Then Pro-DS 2. The new spectral processing targets the sharpness in the s sounds without pushing the whole top end down. The voice keeps its air.

Finally, Pro-L 2 on the master bus. True peak limiting set to -1 dBTP. The editor watches the loudness meter stay within the delivery spec. No guesswork. Three plug-ins. Maybe four minutes of work.

Mastering standard

Mastering engineers. The combination of Pro-Q, Pro-MB, and Pro-L is as common in mastering rooms as nearfield monitors. No other bundle gives you this level of dynamic EQ, multiband control, and true peak limiting in a single consistent interface.

Electronic music producers. Saturn and Timeless are not just mix tools. They are sound design instruments. Saturn's multiband distortion can turn a simple sine wave into a bass that fills a club. Timeless 3 adds a diffused reverb-like tail to a delay. It makes space without a dedicated reverb plug-in.

Anyone who mixes on headphones. Pro-Q 4's dynamic bands and Pro-R 2's clarity help avoid the buildup that a room would reveal. The spectrum grab in Pro-Q lets you pull a frequency right from the display. No sweeping. No second-guessing.

Smoother isolation

Pro-Q 4.13 refined the spectrum grab. It feels faster. The band-solo behavior is smoother when you are isolating a narrow cut. Less jumping in the low end.

Pro-R 2.06 adjusted the decay rate EQ curves. The tails in smaller rooms decay more naturally now. Less metallic ring when you push the decay time short.

Pro-C 3.02 tightened the lookahead on the mastering compressor style. It catches transients a fraction sooner. The result is a limiter-like grab without the limiter sound.

Across the bundle, Apple Silicon performance is no longer a footnote. The plug-ins sit lightly on a MacBook Air. A full mastering chain might pull a few percent of CPU.

A folder of mismatched plug-ins. One install gives you a matched set.
