Folx Pro handles ordinary downloads and torrents in one place. No second app for magnet links or .torrent files.

When a download needs a login, Folx remembers it. When a torrent search returns too much, sort by seeds and the healthy ones rise. A YouTube video with a useless filename can be renamed before it starts.

A video workflow, from start to finish.

You find a lecture you want to keep. Copy the URL. In Folx Pro, paste it into the download field. The app asks you to pick the quality when more than one is available. Name the file something you will recognize in six months. Start the download.

Folx splits it into threads. A file that crawls in Safari often arrives noticeably faster here. When it finishes, it sits in the folder you chose, with the name you chose.

If the source is a magnet link instead, the flow is almost identical. Paste, pick the files you actually want from the torrent, skip the rest. That selective download alone saves disk space on bloated packs.

What changed in 5.34.

Torrent handling got quieter. Selective file downloading works better, which matters when a torrent bundles extras you will never open. Downloaded torrent tasks are stored and handled more reliably.

Proxy users should notice smoother behavior with it enabled. Two crashes are gone: one when adding certain magnet links, another during torrent search. For anyone rebuilding a queue after a clean install, fewer interruptions.

One requirement shifted: macOS 10.13 is now the minimum. Older systems cannot run 5.34.

A working session.

Nine in the evening. I paste three links into Folx Pro — two direct files, one magnet link. The torrent search window opens for the magnet, sorted by seeds. I choose the healthiest result, deselect two files inside it, and start.

One direct file needs a password. Folx asks once, remembers it, and continues.

I set the second direct file to start at two in the morning. The schedule holds it.

By morning, the first file and the torrent are done. The scheduled one is waiting. The desktop stays empty.

It does not replace your browser. It takes over the part the browser was never good at.
